Farmer to Farmer Agriculture Drone Services
Why Drones in Agriculture?
Drones in the Agriculture Industry can be used in various ways. Examples of this being precision agriculture, efficient weed control or fertilizer dispersing & optimized field management. The results of this include reduced operation costs, improved crop quality, and an increased yield rate.
Safety Benifits
Human Protection – No direct intervention during operations
Crop Protection – No accidental spraying to other crops
Financial Benifits
Accurate Chemical Application to Crops
No Crop Damage
Less Regular Application
Better Crop Penetration
Early Crop Penetration
Early Crop Damage Detection
Little/No Farmer Interation Required During Spraying
Low Volume Application
Efficient Crop Spraying & Field Mapping
Whether you’re an independent farmer or owner of a large commercial farm, drone technology can help you yield more crops with fewer resources. Two of the main ways that drones can help are efficient crop spraying and field mapping.
Spraying fields using drones
Spraying efficiently is a challenge for any farmer. If the concentration of the spray is too much in one place, extra cost and a possible decrease in the quality of your produce will occur. Too low a concentration, however, and your crops might be vulnerable to being malnourished, eaten by insects or overgrown with weeds – leading to a decreased yield.
Using the right farming drones the following can be delivered with high precision and efficiency:
Seeds
Fertilizer
Pesticide
Herbicide
Fungicide
Desiccants
The Results? Higher Yield Rate and Improved Crop Quality without intense manual labour
Gathering data for precision agriculture using drones
Using drones to map out an area of your farm can create new insights in your planning and growing process. The key technology used in this is Remote Sensing technology. This picks up radiation on the ground that allows tracking of everything from physical characteristics to the amount of heat being generated in an area.
Even more advanced is Multispectral Imaging which captures light sensors both visible and invisible within a set range. This is an invaluable tool for farmers to accurately predict their yield rate. These technologies allow us to create key maps that can be used in agriculture .
RGB Maps – These maps allow you to know exactly the amount of land you have to grow on to the centimeter. This helps with crop monitoring for extended periods of time enabling you to adjust for the next season.
NDVI Maps Maps – This stands for Normalized Difference Vegetation Index which shows the amount of infrared light reflected in an area, displayed on the map. This is one of the indicators of malnourishment and drought. NDVI Data collection can help spot problem crops up to two weeks in advance before any physical signs appear.
